Easy to use, to the point, very efficient with robust features and a clear design. A favorite
Easy to handle. It could be nice if each user could leave some comments regarding the drivers service. Pretty good!
Used to be excellent in every way. Lately, Ive had trouble getting rides though.
Taxibeat is a terrific app!!! We use it daily to hail taxis all around Athens. Even if there are a dozen other taxis in front of us, we will still use Taxibeat. Why? Because, first of all, they screen their cars and drivers and we can expect to consistently find a clean, well maintained taxi with a courteous and professional driver. The taxi-meter is always on and a receipt is always printed by the driver (a copy is emailed to you as well). No need to carry money with you because you can enter a credit or ATM card on file. Also, if you enter your destination, you get an estimated fare before you hail a taxi. This app in my opinion has a major advantage over Uber, because you have the option to select a taxi from a list of taxis nearby (you can see a photo of the driver, the year and make of the car as well as the user rating of the driver), instead of just having the nearest taxi sent to you (which is also fine). If you live in Athens, or just visiting, make sure you download this app!

Some bad moments

This was a great app when I started using it. However, for the past few months there dont seem to be any taxis using it in Paris anymore?
First used this app in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The taxi driver arrived and did not pick up the family, because we were 5 persons. OK, no matter I thought, take another one. But the driver said I have to cancel the order, because of app rules. With this cancellation I had to pay a part of a ride I never did. Scandalized about this behavior I sent an E-mail through the app and reported the app team what happened. To this day I didnt get any response and no refund. So, I cannot recommend this app because, if you get in trouble maybe, theres no help for you and youll lose your money. One star for this app is one star to much. Dont use it! Danger!
***The following review was posted a couple of months ago and was mysteriously erased. I am reposting as the review is 100% true and accurate*** Taxibeat was my go-to app for ordering taxis. After moving to a new country and not speaking the language, I was relieved to find and app that was in English and one that directed me to taxis I could trust. However, the app began to crash and, after a few failed attempts at ordering a taxi, I was subsequently blocked. I received an email asking what went wrong and told them it was not human error but a technical one (I was in no way abusing the service). I did not hear back from Taxibeat and sent them several requests to be unblocked. Theyve never got back to me and have not unblocked me and it has been a month and a half. The app will now be deleted and Ill go on using the half a dozen other excellent taxi apps available out there. Great disappointment, Taxibeat!
I cant open the app on my iPod. I restarted also try deleting it and downloaded back on. Nothing seems to work. Help please.
I usually dont write reviews, but this app makes me want to share the love! It looks great (better than any similar app), works great (also much better than any similar app), is fast and thoughtful and makes better people of taxi-drivers and customers alike! Great job guys!!!
Multiple time the drivers on the map do not move for 10-15 min. Some drivers have said the system crashes. And when you try to fill out the support inquiry in the app, the app crashes every time.
